Donate to the library

From $1 to $1000, give what money you can using the easy online form. Gifts are tax deductible.
The library also gladly accepts new or gently used materials, including books, gaming consoles and office equipment. Some limits apply; please take a moment to learn more about how to donate items.
Or, donate your time as a volunteer. With the extensive staff reductions required by budget cuts, your skills and time are more important than ever.

Contact your County & City officials

Contact your local government officials and ask them to maintain or increase funding to the library. Let them know how important the public library is to you, your family, your neighbors, your community. (You might not want to mention the zombies.)

Visit your library

The more you visit Charlotte Mecklenburg Library’s local branches and take advantage of their virtual resources, the stronger our case for maintaining the hours and services needed to feed brains community-wide.
